The WSET is the world’s leading provider of drinks qualifications, including wine, spirits, sake, and now beer, which was lauched in 2024! They currently offer two awards in beer: Level 1 and Level 2, each which are graded on a pass, pass with merit, and pass with distinction scale, based on final scores. WSET qualifications are designed for those who are just starting out in their careers, as well as established professionals, and the many enthusiasts who have a passion for wines, spirits, sake, and beer. The Wine & Spirit Education Trust is an awarding body and registered charity devoted to the development and delivery of qualifications and courses in wines, spirits, sake, and beer. Established in 1969 for the UK wine trade, WSET has since grown to become the global industry leader in drinks education.
As an independent, not-for-profit organization, their educational products offer impartial and sound learning on which individuals and businesses can build knowledge and expertise. WSET qualifications are available through a network of over 800 Approved Program Providers (APPs) working in over 70 countries and in 15 languages. They also run their own flagship school, WSET School London from their headquarters on Bermondsey Street in London. The school offers the full suite of WSET qualifications alongside tasting sessions, career talks, and bespoke programs.
